Eh, it’s arguable. All these mortals were only drawn into this by Loki’s machinations, Odin simply desperately desires to not get murdered during Ragnarök, which the shards may be crucial to prevent.
He’s by no means a good person, but I think it’s understandable why he’s doing what he’s doing. Hel, technically he’s doing them a favour by getting them into Valhalla instead of going to Helhalla (which is where Loki wanted them to go).
The comic doesn’t feel anywhere near an ending so I don’t feel we’re at a climax. Odin could take this opportunity to keep on suspending Ragnarok or possibly something even greater. To finally forge a new fate wholesale.
Heck, just realized that the text bubbles for Coal turned purple after the woosh of Odin’s power in the last panel. I’m a little worried just what that means since Odin has the same outline…
Oh that’s not necessarily special, lol. I often color the word balloons when the background is light. There’s a lot of clouds and mist on these pages and the shape of the balloons and tails are aspects of the dialogue I don’t want lost.
I think I spend the better part of a week catching up on this comic, and BOOM, this is where I have to wait for an update. ARGH! Loving it. Can’t wait for more.
Ahh! can’t help but think Coal should be standing straight not kneeling. But he is only 15 and Odin is terrible.
He’s doing whatever he can.
My Good Benbah
you forget, what Odin is
Odin is the god of war and of the dead. He rules over Valhalla.
Coal is merely… dead
Odin is a really, really huge asshole. Poor Coal.

He is! Some bosses are just jerks.
I am just so moved that Coal’s concern at this moment, even to the point of abasing himself before a God he does not like, is for his friends.
I hope against hope that there IS some other way…
Oh ho ho. :3
I’M REAL WORRIED WHAT’S GONNA HAPPEN NEXT PAGE
I’m sure everything will be just fine!

I guess we’ll see.
We are heading to the climax, for whatever that’s worth. I’d say we’re in the last third of the story. It’ll still take forever but I’ll get there!

Haha, thank you! I’m glad you’ve enjoyed it.
