They would probably give him a greater chance than anything. Remember at the start of this he was arguably barely human. Right now? He’s barely a functional human,but that’s still better than many of us get.
He’s certainly changed a lot even though he’s dead!
That’s a lot more green in his eyes than I think we’ve every seen before. He’s almost at 100%!

Running away from anyone with glowing red eyes is probably good advice.
I just noted that the colors are muted in the very first panel. Adds to the gravity of the moment.
