Loki getting reamed out by Aud, Coal may have messed up but he protected mostly everyone. Poor Coal I hope this doesn’t lay him too low. I wish he could explain things better to his friends
It’s the third frame that gets me. Arnie was particularly innocent and liked Coal. Now he knows what a bezerker can do. At least Hedda and Ibrahim are there to help.
I’m not sure Hedda ever saw Coal in berzerker mode before last night? They seem to be a rare phenomenon, although she’ll have at least heard of the concept from her master’s household. I wonder how her Christian faith sees Coal now, or Ibrahim’s Muslim view for that matter?
You’re right about Ibrahim and Hedda doing well by looking after wee Arne. Perhaps Hedda is taking comfort by giving it to Arne.
Ironically Ibrahim might have had the most warning about this of any of them, after getting tossed most of a mile into the drink the one time. Plus, I think he saw Coal’s eyes do the Freaky Thing at the same time.

Wow, what atmospherics you’ve pulled off here! A powerful lot of storytelling in an economical set of images. Ripping start to the chapter!
(Sorry, Ingolf, no pun intended.)
A problem solved for Aud.
Aud getting good optics
Three traumatized teens
Tis just a flesh wound Ingolf. Why are you making such a fuss?
Pictured: everyone Coal hurt last night.
Not pictured: Coal.
Hopefully our little berserker’s having as good a day as everyone else…

Well ,as a Christian she would see Coal as a demonic spirit, but she has a forgiving nature and will remember how he saved her.
But I wouldn’t blame her if we kept him locked securely in the Friend Zone.

Ingolf survived yay!
