Chapter 16 | Page 5 by Sarah on December 12, 2019 at 12:00 am Loki hopes if he adds a “please” Coal will actually listen to him.
Does he mean bring him back from his berserker rage?
that’s what it seems like to me! Coal hasn’t been on the brink of being re-killed as far as I know, and we’ve seen Loki sort of “retrieve” him from berserking before.
I think he means back from the dead…
I think that is the meaning. Coal could wipe out the whole village. I think berserker mode does not know friends from foes.
Yep!
And he really hasn’t gotten deep into the rage yet. Only just the edges. Oh…shit…..
Sarah are you going to save time by making next week’s page just one big blood-red rectangle?
No but that IS a good idea for the future…
I think the fundamental problem here is that Loki has a very different definition of the word ‘careful’ than coal does.
To Loki, it means “Don’t let anyone see you do anything that a normal, living, non-magical human couldn’t do.”
And to Coal, I’m guessing it means something like: “Try not to get too much blood on yourself.”
Yeah they need to work on their communication skills.
Loki, the voice of calm and reason.
Also, I love the lighting in those first two panels, really grounds all this as happening outdoors by firelight.
Thank you! I hope to do more with the lighting a bit later…It’s fun to play with.
