Y’know I thought of moving the comments to one of those other plug-ins but it was too much work.

although i cannor imagine this will do good for the community, vis a vis relations between the Queen and these guys’ people. (i know she isnt the queen but she basically is that in my mind)
She’s technically a “godr” I think, been a while since I read up on Iceland. They’re like a chief, but women weren’t allowed to participate in Law Stuff, so Ingolf is her proxy for those matters.

Yep, I remember that he was being raised and trained to be Jarl as his father was. Like Arnie is. Or I have that completely wrong…….
Coal’s berserker-ness was inherited from his father, so the only thing Odin’s beer is affecting is Coal’s more supernatural physicality (speed, strength, etc) and, of course…not dying. Coal’s father was a chief but their village was a bit more backwater and small compared to Arne’s home.
Thanks Sarah, I’ve been a bit addled lately. Still loving the story and art.

Note to self: When attempting battle, avoid puncturing a berserker. Quoting self-help books and playing new-age music may be a better strategy for at least driving them *away* screaming.
I dunno, Coal may just get confused and kill them faster.

I don’t actually think Coal has killed anyone yet.
Attiws to the shoulder suck, it aren’t necessarily lethal right away, and Spearman just got kicked. I suspect Knifey McJerkface is gong to be sent back to his Jarl with another bruised jaw and a gaggle if injured men to explain the situation. That may be more dangerous than Coal
Either that or he’s gonna murder everybody. Honestly, I’m good either way!

You’re right! He hasn’t actually killed anyone yet, even in the whole comic. But who knows if that may change?

Love the first two panels, really gets across how creepy Coal can be if you’re coming across him unprepared.
