I am curious why Odin is giving this ultimatum if he truly can do it himself. Does he need Coal to do it and is bluffing? Does he need Coal’s obedience for something or even Coal to rebel against him? Is he just mad that his pawn isn’t being obedient?
Murdering them won’t help Odin.
If the kids don’t die in battle, they won’t go to Walhalla. And even if they did fight you, there’s still 50% chance they’ll ended with Freya and, therefore, won’t go to Walhalla. And this is coming from the guy who give away one of his eyes to gain wisdom… -_-
As Mina and Cal point out, spot on. Odin cannot just do it himself, or he would have done so. He sent Coal back with that piece of Mjolnir, even *that* he didn’t keep for himself, and he had it in his grasp.
Iiiii wonder if we are going to have hijinks with trying to avoid actually getting to Helluland – we all know how attempting to thwart a prophecy works.
Odin is up to something. No matter howHedda Saoirse or Ibrahim die, they won’t end up in Vahalla. They both belong to different belief systems and would end up in their respective afterlifes, taking the fragments they carry with them. Arne might end up in Vahalla, then again he might end up with the Great Spirit of his people. Either way, No Fragments For You Odin!
Oh, dear. How’s Coal gonna get out of this one?

A trip to Helluland could potentially take years. Decades even….
Especially with a magic boat.
And Loki directing things
