I suppose it’s too much to expect Coal to make at least some effort to act like someone who just walked a long way with a fresh arrow wound.

So are his eyes just taking on color of the sunlight, or are they a sign of some other thing going on with him?
Coal’s eyes are unaffected by shadows, if that’s what you mean.
Yeah, I’m just used to his eyes being a grey color. But looking back through the comic, I realized that you have his eyes catch the light sometimes (his eyes taking the golden brown when the sunlight or firelight is just at eye-level for him). Of which, I do find neat.
